Thursday!

 Woke up to a very chilly morning, but it is absolutely beautiful as I sit and write this just after lunch. The kids had pancakes, bacon, and fruit for breakfast then headed out with their field groups. For lunch there was italian sub sandwiches, grilled cheese, grapes, chips, and salad. Throughout the week, the students have been learning about conservation, recycling, and becoming more aware of how the food on their plate actually gets there. At lunch today, they talked a lot about where all the different food we had was grown or raised and all the time and resources it takes to get it to their plate. Right now they are in their 3rd class of the week, will have a quick snack, then attend their last chosen class. Today's class choices were Geo-Rocks, Endangered Egg Babies, Wood Carving, Bio-Blitz, Field Journaling, and "Tree"SI. I will be heading out in a few minutes to try and get some pictures of the classes.
