Last Night
After a supper of barbecue chicken and rice, we headed back to the cabins to start packing up. We have Niko's birthday today and Liam's tomorrow so we celebrated with cupcakes, candy, and juice bags. Mrs. Spiess joined us this afternoon and all the kids were happy to see her! The kids are definitely getting tired and many are losing their voices! Maybe we will have a quiet bus ride tomorrow!!!

Day 4

Good morning from Lake Ossipee! Beautiful view on our way to breakfast this morning. Speaking of breakfast, this morning we had scrambled eggs, sausage, and bagels. After breakfast I played soccer with the boys as well as Zahara and Niveyah. Wow what a workout! We had a lot of fun, but I'm ready for a nap!

Right now the kids are outside playing a giant game of predator-prey. They start off as a certain kind of organism and have to try to survive not being prey to another. It's like a massive game of tag while learning about a food chain.

After dinner entertainment

Tonight is TNL...Thursday Night Live. The kids will perform skits along with the staff. Hopefully
I can get some video and post again later. See you all tomorrow!

Day 3

Another great night! Woke up to no rain...woo-hoo! Breakfast was FrenchToast and BACON :)
The kids had a short transition then headed off to pack lunches for their big hike. They went out from 10-2:30 with their field group leader for a hike and some fun games. You would think they may be tired when they got back, but nope! They played soccer, ran around, and enjoyed the sunshine.

Next they had another class, then on to dinner. Tonight was chicken alfredo, garlic bread, and asparagus. Yes, a couple kids at my table actually tried the asparagus!!! We had an hour long transition after dinner. A bunch of our kids had a big soccer game, while others chose to come back to the cabins and just hang out. As I type, the students are just heading out on a night adventure where they will learn how to navigate in the dark and do some vision experiments.

Being silly in the cabin!

Day 2 Continued
Finally got pics to upload!

Day 2
Sorry! I posted this earlier but must have done something to delete!
Best group ever! My cabin was lights out before 10 and asleep by 10:15! We did have a sleep talker..well screamer but, other than that, they were terrific! The dads said the boys were good too..up a little later, but no criers and with a little coaxing out by about 11. We just enjoyed a delicious breakfast of pancakes and sausages, The kids all take turns being waitrons were they set up the table, serve the meal, then clear and clean the table. Being the waitron has its benefits though, they get to serve themselves first and you have to ask their permission to get up from the table.
For lunch we had steak and cheese subs, tater tots and grapes. The rain held off most of the morning, but it sure is coming down now. The kids are out at classes from 1 to 4 so I'm sure they will be tired at transition time. Tonight's night activity is all about adaptations. Hopefully I can get some more pictures and videos and will try to post again later. Thank you so much to the parents who have volunteered their time to join us this week! We really appreciate it!
(having trouble uploading photos :(  will try again tonight)

Day 1
We arrived safe and sound after a fun, but LOUD, bus ride! The kids were fascinated by the fact that there was a bathroom on the bus! After arriving at Camp Cody, the students helped each other carry luggage off the bus and then we headed into the dining hall for lunch...chicken sandwiches, watermelon, and Sun Chips. After lunch the students went out for a short field group to meet their counselor and play a few games. The rain stopped for us during transition time, and the students enjoyed playing some basketball, soccer, and football. Next the students were off to their first class. By the end of the week, they will all have a chance to participate in each class,,,Keep it Moving, Roller Coasters, Bioblitz, Build a Plant, Lake Ecology, and Raging Rivers. After another short transition it was off to dinner. The kids were excited to see spaghetti and meatballs! Right now, they are at a Science Fair learning about several different topics while watching some pretty cool experiments. Quiet sing will soon follow and then back to our cabins. Hopefully they are tired and we have an easy night...well, I can hope!! Lol.
